Toilet cisterns

Keep the inside of the cistern free from in-cistern cleaning products, tablets and chemical additives. These products may damage internal components and must not be used with BelBagno toilets. Use of such products may void the applicable product warranty.

Toilet seats

For everyday care, simply clean with warm soapy water and a clean, soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring products and wax-based creams, as these can gradually scratch or dull the surface. Avoid contact with sharp or hard objects.

Minor marks on plastic seats may be gently polished using a suitable fine polishing compound and a clean, soft cloth.

Products such as hairspray, aftershave, nail polish and remover, solvents, kerosene and insecticides should be removed immediately and the surface rinsed thoroughly with clean water.

Vitreous China

Clean using warm soapy water, a mild household detergent or a non-abrasive cream cleanser, applied with a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive pads or harsh cleaners that may damage the glazed surface.

Bathroom cabinetry and mirrors perform best with gentle cleaning and minimal moisture left on their surfaces.

For everyday care:

• Use a soft, damp cloth or sponge and a mild cleaning solution.
• Wipe away spills and water promptly rather than allowing them to sit.
• Always rinse away cleaning products and dry the surface afterwards.
• Test any new cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first.
• Never use abrasive pads, brushes or scouring products.
• Avoid cleaners containing ammonia, bleach, acids, alcohol, solvents, waxes or abrasive ingredients.
• Keep timber and timber-look cabinetry away from excessive moisture, direct sunlight and concentrated heat sources.
• Dust surfaces with a soft cloth, following the direction of the grain where applicable.
• Use felt, leather or cork beneath decorative objects and avoid sliding objects across cabinetry surfaces.
• Avoid oily polishes, waxes and silicone-based products.

Remove hairspray, cosmetics, nail polish and remover, solvents and similar substances immediately.

For mirrors: pay particular attention to exposed edges and avoid allowing moisture or cleaning products to remain around the perimeter. Where specified for the particular mirror, maintain exposed edges in accordance with the supplied care instructions to help protect the mirror backing from moisture damage.

Acrylic and polymarble surfaces are designed for everyday bathroom use, but their finish is best preserved with gentle cleaning and protection from heat, impact and abrasive products.

Clean using a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap or liquid detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

Avoid:

• Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or harsh chemicals.
• Products containing ammonia, bleach, acids, alcohol, waxes or solvents.
• Direct contact with hot objects.
• Cutting directly on the surface.
• Heavy, sharp or hard objects that may scratch, chip or damage the basin.
• Sliding accessories across the surface.

For light marks or fine scratches, gently polishing the area with a soft damp cloth and a small amount of mild toothpaste may help reduce their appearance. Follow with a clean, dry cloth.

Spills from cosmetics, hairspray, nail products and solvents should always be removed promptly.

Preserve the surface. Protect the finish.

BelBagno acrylic baths are manufactured using high sanitary-grade acrylic, selected for its durability, colour stability and smooth finish.

When filling the bath, begin with cold or lukewarm water before introducing very hot water, allowing the surface to adjust gradually to the temperature.

After bathing, wipe the surface with a soft cloth and warm soapy water to remove soap and body oils and help prevent tide marks.

Use only mild liquid detergents for regular cleaning. Avoid abrasive powders, pastes, scouring products, harsh chemicals and general-purpose or window-cleaning sprays.

For stubborn marks, a suitable non-abrasive cream cleaner may be used carefully. Fine surface scratches can often be reduced with a suitable fine polish.

Avoid naked flames, cigarettes and strong chemicals.

We do not recommend bath bombs or bath salts in BelBagno acrylic baths, as pigments, salts and other ingredients may mark, discolour or scratch the acrylic surface.

A material designed to be lived with.

Solid surface is durable and low-maintenance, and its consistent composition means minor signs of everyday use can often be gently refinished.

For regular care, clean with warm water, mild liquid detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.

For light marks, use a suitable non-abrasive household cleaner and gently work over the surface in circular motions. Minor surface scratches and marks can often be reduced with careful polishing.

Always rinse thoroughly and dry after cleaning to prevent residue and water spotting.

Avoid:

• Harsh chemicals, strong solvents, bleach and drain cleaners.
• Abrasive powders, steel wool and aggressive scouring pads.
• Excessive sanding or abrasive treatment.
• Extremely hot objects placed directly onto the surface.

Clean spills promptly, particularly cosmetics, hair products, dyes and chemical products.

Chrome & Coloured Finishes

Clean with mild soap or household detergent and water, using a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring products and wax-based creams. Repeated use can create fine scratches and gradually change the appearance of the finish.

Gold & Polished Brass Finishes

Use warm soapy water and a soft cloth for regular cleaning.

These decorative finishes should be treated gently. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds and wax-based creams that may scratch or alter the surface.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is durable, but its finish should still be treated with care — particularly when new, when fine scratches can be more noticeable.

• Clean with soap and water or a suitable stainless-steel cleaner.
• Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
• Use a clean, soft sponge or cloth.
• A suitable glass cleaner can be used for light surface marks.
• Where required, use only a polish specifically designed for stainless steel.
• Avoid steel wool, abrasive pads, bleach and harsh chemical cleaners.
• Make sure cleaning cloths are free from grit or debris that could scratch the surface.
• Do not allow mineral deposits or standing water to build up on the finish.

A little care goes a long way.

Bathrooms are naturally exposed to moisture, cosmetics, cleaning products and changing temperatures. Wherever possible, wipe away standing water and spills after use, keep surfaces well ventilated and avoid allowing personal-care or cleaning products to remain in prolonged contact with finishes.

Regular, gentle cleaning is always preferable to occasional aggressive cleaning.

When in doubt, keep it gentle.

Across most BelBagno surfaces, avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, bleach, strong acids, solvents and highly concentrated chemical cleaners unless specifically stated as suitable for the product.

Never mix cleaning chemicals, and always rinse and dry surfaces thoroughly after cleaning.

For bathrooms in coastal locations or environments with high humidity, more frequent cleaning and drying may be required. Salt, moisture and mineral deposits should not be allowed to build up on metal finishes, mirrors or cabinetry.

Good bathroom ventilation will also help protect finishes and cabinetry over time.
